1. no scale or north arrow or source, good title
2. the whole U.S. minus Alaska and Hawaii
3.unclear
4. not mentioned
5. not sure but appear to be a few
6. different shades of orange
7. Labeled most states with abbreviations, minus MA, RI, VT, and Washington D.C.
8. a lot of the data is centered around big cities, and on the east coast
9. it is hard to decipher what the map is portraying without a legend

This exercise is fantastic!

There is much here that makes it difficult to decipher – it’s difficult to tell what the unit of aggregation/analysis is – county? or census tract? those are not the same.

US data is typically collected by STATE, COUNTY, CENSUS TRACT, CENSUS BLOCK (these are nested). This map might be at the tract level and there may be some that have dark red but it’s not visible.

Hi, I think your map looks good but can use a few improvements.

1. Missing a north arrow and key.
2. Centered on US. missing Alaska and Hawaii
3. Can’t tell
4. Can’t tell
5. At least 3
6. good use of colors. different shades of orange.
7. Most states are labeled.
9. The East and West coast contain much of the data
