Laboratory work for Project 5 will be completed in pairs. You must complete your laboratory notebooks individually. Lab partners will work together to prepare and present the final presentation.
In Project 5, each lab group will be assigned a chemical reaction to plan and complete. The reaction product should be fully analyzed in terms of identity, purity, and yield. You will report your results in a formal presentation to the class.

• Plan and execute a chemical reaction using techniques encountered during CHEM 205L
• Characterize a reaction product by a combination of chromatographic and spectroscopic methods
• Determine the yield of a chemical reaction
