Week 9: Final Week

This week was my final week working for PUPP. During this week I had a lot of tasks that had to be done. On Monday I was to set up arrangements for our scholar’s final research symposium, their art gallery, and the institute’s summer closing ceremony. I was given the tasks of making sure different arrangement’s were made in order to have a smooth last week. I was able to do this efficiently while having time to help the scholars with any last details on their projects. The last events all went well.

Working with PUPP this summer allowed me to ultimately has given me more motivation to pursue education in the future. I know that working with PUPP was ultimately the best choice for me because it allowed me to apply all that we have been learning in leadership into the real world. I look forward to writing about this experience.

Throughout my upbringing I often experienced let down due to our powerless financial situations. After a slight transition I was able to use my faith and family to determine my perseverance in education and throughout life's hurdles. As a first generation college student I have sought to actively maintain my passions of community engagement and change. I use all the knowledge gained from the arduous moments in my life and that of the classroom to engage socially in the community. The goal is to bring about change in all my endeavors and in the live's of the people I come in contact with.
