1. The story for the map is clear, solves the problem of where to study and informs students of spots they may not know of
2. The map is just of the University campus so it is not a small scale map projection but it appears to be accurate
3. The correct level of generalization is used, the buildings are specific enough that its easy to orient
4. none of the buildings are labeled which could help with orientation, although students that are using this map will be able top tell which buildings are which
5. The buildings with study spots are a bolder and brighter red to indicate their importance so this is a good display of data
6. The text is clear and easy to read, the labels for the roads and features are good
7. This map is a familiar place to students and the important buildings are easy to see, yes this map has figure-ground orientation
8. Great visual hierarchy with the different color hues
9. You can add a boundary to the campus, labels for buildings, and maybe the best times for each study spot

1. The story and purpose of the map is clear and helpful, especially to first year or exchange students.
2. The projection appears to be accurate based on campus locations.
3. The level of generalization is easy to follow.
4. Symbology is clear, but I agree with Tyler that labels on the buildings may be helpful for those who aren’t familiar with all of the buildings on campus in order to orient themselves.
5. The bolded buildings are readily apparent to the viewer, which helps depict the data.
6. The text is clear and easy to read. I love how clear the roads and fields etc. are labeled (this could be a good addition to the buildings).
7. The figure-ground organization is good because of how well the viewer is drawn to the study spots on campus.
8. The visual hierarchy is great with the study spots being a bolded and brighter color hue.
9. The biggest thing I think that would benefit being added to your map is labels on the buildings, and maybe a little more information on each spot (when they’re open etc.)
