Bioshock Infinite (Rachel)

After continuing to play the game, I have become even more interested in the story and I like the game a lot. The story aspect of the game makes it interesting to play, it makes the player feel like their choices really matter. I am interested to find out more about the backstory of Columbia and the main characters. I am curious what exactly happened to Elizabeth and why. Also why Booker is the one to save her and why he is the enemy. I think the story makes the game much more interesting.

One part of the game that I am still getting used to is the fighting aspect. I sometimes get frustrated when I am fighting and find it hard to find the right keys to use then get even more frustrated. Some of the parts of the game are unnecessarily violent in my opinion. But after remembering it is just a game and I get over the violence I enjoy the game. Some of the aspects like the cult are a little creepy. But it is interesting to watch the videos and hear the stories in the game.

Another thing I am really enjoying about this game are the graphics and the music. The graphics are well done and very exciting compared to portal. I like how Columbia is very bright and colorful for the most part. It is much better then looking at all the grey rooms in portal. I think the music really adds an extra element to the game and brings a lot of emotion to the game. The second time playing I tried to pay more attention to the music and I really appreciated it. I liked how the music changed based on what you were doing in the game. Overall, I like this game a lot so far and can’t wait to see what happens next.

I mirror your feelings about the violent aspect. I will say that after playing more for Wednesday, it doesn’t bother me quite as much as it did (not sure whether this is good or bad). I think part of my dislike of the violence stems from my inability to fight effectively, but I am just starting to get a hang of that, too.

I agree that I am not yet used to the violence in the game. I have trouble switching between weapons and finding where I am being shot at from. The game is also pretty violent compared to what I’m used to, so I still get a little shook when I have to kill people.
