My first productive day: Journal | April 18

We even got out the cones for soccer drills!

By Caterina Erdas
Today I worked on my ballet for ballet class and I played soccer with my dad and brother. It’s remarkable how much my focus increased after a light workout. Getting started really is the hardest part. Dang it, all those gym rats were right!

I email my old research professor for the first time in 2 years to ask if there is a spot at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in the fight against COVID-19. I hope he replies, but he is reliably bad at getting back to my emails so I’m keeping my expectations low. I also joined an email list that posts COVID-19 volunteering positions. I want to put my 4 years of lab experience to work on getting us all out of quarantine!

Today, I also transcribed these journal entries from my notebook to my computer. Tonight, I am going to watch a movie with my boyfriend and friend over zoom (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I have never watched it before). It’s been a very balanced and productive day! Cheers to more.
