Computer graphics have become a standard technology for creating elaborate scenes in today’s action movies. The new James Bond movie “Skyfall” is no different. However for a scene involving a 1960 Aston Martin DB 5, The effects crew turned to 3D printing to create 3 scale 1:3 models of the vehicle, 1 of which was destroyed during filming.
