Final Reflection

In summing up my experience in less than 250 words, I think the biggest 2 takeaways for me is that as an instructional leader it is important to 1) have an instructional framework to maximize the use of technology and 2) technology in itself does not always equal innovation in the classroom.

I understand that as an educational leader you must be ready have an understanding about how you can guide your staff to effectively integrate technology into the classroom, understanding it does not mean your students will all become SOL masters, but they will learn problem solving skills, how to collaborate, and connect with resources to help them thrive inside and out of the class.

Additionally, never forget that using technology to do what you would already do without it does not make you an innovative teacher. You have to find unique ways to really bring transformational experiences.

I have learned so much about technology and I am so excited to continue my use of Twitter! This was what I was most excited about the first day of class and I will continue to use it as I grow as an educational leader.

Thank you Dr. Richardson!
