Portal: Chambers 11-17
Who would’ve thought that a block would become your best friend (for a short time at least). These chambers still weren’t THAT difficult but it was obviously more so than the first 10, requiring more intuition at times for timing events and where portal had to be placed. But back to the block bestie. GLaDos makes it clear that the block will never harm you, ever. I’m sure some of y’all noticed but for those that did not there is a “secret room” in chamber 17 which is basically dedicated to pictures of the friend cube. It’s quite obvious that a previous test subject took the little heart on the block a little too seriously. Of course all good things must come to an end and you gotta euthanize the poor thing. The only other thing that I can think of were those freaking (keeping it PG) turrets. They were a huge nuisance and just annoying to deal with. But when you, I guess, “killed” them they got all sentimental saying things like “I don’t blame you…” which was kinda awkward but it is what it is.
I know what you are talking about when it comes to the turrets. I actually found those comments a little funny because I couldn’t help but imagine someone shrugging and saying I don’t blame you. Also, since they were turrets, I never really felt bad for knocking them over nor blocking shots from other turrets with turrets. So, it is interesting to see how you reacted differently with the turrets than I did.
