I’m excited to announce that Auden Wilson (BMB ’25) has been chosen as one of this year’s Beckman Scholars. A huge congratulations to him!
I first met Auden when he was here for the URISE pre-first year experience for science students. He was very engaged in my mock lecture about hemoglobin and interested in learning more about our research. He then reached out before coming back to campus and officially joined the lab in the spring of his first year. He works on the collaborative project with Prof. Mike Norris on the developing and understanding the mechanism of photoactivated chemotherapies. He has mastered previously developed experiments in our lab as well as pioneered some new ones. I’m excited to see what he can accomplish for the next two summers and the semesters between. Great work, Auden!
