Spartan Military
Just like in Plato’s Republic, there was an “elite” that ruled in Sparta. The Spartan city state was devoted to: “military honor, patriotism, and war,” all concepts that are also somehow reflected in Plato’s work.
Check this out. The clip shows how members of the Spartan military had specific characteristics that were logically present in a minority of the population. Their qualities seem to be similar to those of Plato’s “Guardians.”
