Six semesters, three academic years, two summers of research (with the third rapidly approaching), twenty student poster presentations (on campus and off campus), fifteen class sections, two hundred and forty six students, sixteen advisees, a whole bunch of recommendation letters, a couple grants, a few publications, five committees, a number of job searches, multiple new collaborations: no matter how you count it, life as an assistant professor at UR has been busy.

I’m raising a glass to cheers to the close of another semester, saying goodbye to my first set of research students as the graduate, and wishing for time to slow down so that I can enjoy it all.
