After attending the required performance of Gamelan Çudamani on Wednesday, September 22, at 7:30pm in the Modlin Center, describe in a 500-word (about 2 double-spaced pages) response how the performance addressed any of the issues and ideas we’ve encountered, discussed, or addressed in the class. Your report should provide a brief summary of the performance in your own words, identify the concept or idea revealed in the performance, and use the remainder of the paper (about 300 words or so) explaining specific ways that you saw the performance reflecting or enacting the content or idea you identified. One way to approach this assignment might be to think about why I would assign the performance as a requirement for a class on media, culture, and identity.
