Current policies and procedures will typically be noted on the UR IRB website.  The “News” section of the UR IRB website will often include information on new or proposed IRB regulations and policies.  The News section of the website also includes links to other IRB policies such as those found in the 2016 International Compilation of Human Research Standards.  This compilation “is a listing of over 1,000 laws, regulations, and guidelines on human subjects protections in over 100 countries and from several international organizations. Many of the listings embed hyperlinks to the source document.”

The IRB Chair subscribes to OHRP updates, the IRB Forum, PRIM&R (Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research), and other current sources of information on IRB policies and guidance.  While most of these resources are free, the University of Richmond pays a subscription fee to PRIM&R which is paid for by the Office of Research Compliance and Integrity (in the Office of the Provost).
