The University of Richmond IRB consists of a 10 member Board which is appointed by the President of the University. The President serves as the signatory official for the University of Richmond, which has a written agreement with the United States Department of Human Services Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP). The University of Richmond President appoints the IRB Chair. The current Chair is Dr. R. Kirk Jonas.
Dr. Jonas is the Director of the Office of Research Compliance and Integrity which is administered by the Office of the Provost. Dr. Jonas also serves as the IRB Administrator and the CITI Program Administrator.
