Candidates will write a paper that synthesizes what they have learned, experienced and felt over the course of the semester.
Looking back on critical reflective essays and using information learned from class activities, discussions, readings, videos, and field trips, candidates will write a more extended essay (3-5 pages) in which they outline their guiding principles for the teaching of elementary social studies, cite the reasons for their choices, and how these guiding principles might be implemented in their future classrooms.
