The Effects of Neutral Thinking and Growth Mindsets

At Limitless Minds, we teach companies and individuals how to have better psychological mindset and overall neutral thinking in order to more effectively perform as employees both in the office and when representing the office. This mindset learning flows into how the organizational culture of my company is run. We begin every morning meeting by going around and saying what we are thankful for. This can be as large or as small as you want, but by beginning the day with some gratitude, it reduces negative thinking and begins on a positive note. I have very much enjoyed beginning my day this way, as I used to write down what I was grateful for every evening, but I have begun to see the value in doing it in the morning. As interns, we also take weekly modules that teach us about neutral thinking and growth/positive mindsets. Having access to these modules is beneficial in a variety of different ways. We are able to see and truly understand what it is our company is offering as services, we are able to provide honest feedback about what is going well and what is going poorly in the designed modules and we are able to learn about how to effectively leverage our mindsets to grow. It is expected that we all maintain neutral thinking, reducing negative attitudes and expectations of work related responsibilities, but also life in general.

Limitless Minds generally has very informal interactions with one another as it is both a start up company and has always been virtual. The co-founders and President/CEO of the company have been long time friends and thus they bring a sense of informality and friendliness to meetings and the company as a whole. Our intern supervisor brings her baby to meetings and we all share information about our personal as well as work lives. This kind of setting is great, especially while working remote, because you really get to feel comfortable with who you work with and learn about what happens behind the screens. With this being said, whenever we are working with a client, the professional and more formal look is on. We are expected to dress more formally but also perform more formally. I believe the way Limitless Minds balances formal and informal interactions is extremely important and beneficial to the company overall.
