  1. The Nuremberg Trials were a series of war tribunals that took place after WWII. They were organized by the Allied powers, and most notably prosecuted Nazis. It is also important to note the involvement of the U.S. in the trials, as until this point they had maintained a policy of isolationism in world politics.

  2. A series of military tribunals held by allied forces afer WWII. The trials were directed at the Nazi’s top officeal in order to procecute them for crimes against humanity more specifically genocide and war crimes. This was the first time individuals stood trial for major war crimes. the trials were broadcast and fully supported by the unted states which gave them significant backing. After the trials the united states backed out of a international military trubunal and significantly weakened the process.

  3. It also was a basis for the ICC since it was the first time any person had been held accountable for international crime on an international level.
