It’s not as if we should have ultra-high expectations for a Too Short advice column in XXL, but his comments are shocking even for people who are familiar with his lyrics. Check this out.

I saw a short clip of it last week before it was taken down from all the usual hip hop blog sites. Fatherly advice, indeed. The big problem I had was that, the video seems to be framed as not entertainment or Too $hort in pimp character, but as hip hop fathering like Run’s House, TI (and Tiny), and Snoop Dogg Fatherhood. He seemed serious. For “Old Heads” who have spent the last 25 years listening to Too $hort’s pimping freaky tales (myself included), it must be disappointing to see that he hasn’t been able to grow as an artist beyond this. Jay-Z on the other hand, seems to have matured from his earlier career.
A boycott of XXL, Too $hort, etc seems appropriate in this case. No excuse for this.
