This module provides an introduction to the Earth science SOL. To complete this module you will:
- Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the Earth science Standards of Learning.
- Visit the VDOE Project PROMISE science curriculum page. Select grade 1 and poke around the Earth science resources.
- View the brief video on moon journaling (below) and begin keeping a moon journal in your Scientist’s Notebook. (You do not need to print the page, but can if you want to.)
Upon completion of the module, enter a modified reflection in your Scientist’s Notebook. Write a brief statement about how the resources provided do or do not enable teachers to use an inquiry-based approach for instruction.
