I’m ecstatic to report that our friend Yiqi Liu ’18 has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis at Northwestern University! Yiqi has studied for the last several years under the tutelage of renowned professor Tobin Marks, a world leader in the realm of catalysis. Yiqi’s Ph.D. thesis was titled “Design, Development, Characterization, and Catalytic Activity Exploration of Single-Site Carbon-Supported MoO2 Catalysts.”
Yiqi is moving on to a career in consulting but she will always be a member of the Downey Group, where she has had a huge impact on our research program leading to co-authorship on three publications. Her multidisciplinary work with the Marks group is even more impressive. Congratulations, Dr. Liu!
