Due to changes made by YouTube/Google, the YouTube mashup feature is not currently working in Blackboard. The current workaround from Blackboard is as follows:
- Copy the url or right click and get the embed code from YouTube
- Go back to the editor on Bb environment
- Click Build Item
- Click on the HTML icon (second from end on third row of editor)
- Paste the embed code into the popup window
- Click update
- Submit
You will see a yellow box representing the YouTube video until you click submit. You item will be posted at the bottom of the content area and you should see the video. Blackboard is currently working on this issue but until it is resolved, this is the process for adding YouTube videos to Blackboard.
