Matt Trawick holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University. He was a postdoctoral fellow and later a lecturer at Princeton University before coming to the University of Richmond as an assistant professor in 2004. Wow, this video is great. Who came up with the idea? Did Geoff do this on a whim?

Yes, I think this was Geoff’s brainchild. He had some experience in filmmaking, and just thought to himself, “Gee, all of my friends doing research would make a really great video…”
