UR is testing Panopto, a desktop capture/lecture capture tool that works with Blackboard and is easy to use. Need to cancel class due to illness, a conference conflict, or bad weather? You can record your lecture or presentation in Panopto and students can view it within Blackboard. Panopto captures your computer screen activity as well as your voice, and you can record you on video via webcam if you wish!
Learn more in our hands-on Panopto training session on 9/16 and you might win a Logitech USB headset! Register for our September 16 (2PM) session or contact your CTLT liaison for assistance.

This has been a major group effort. With special thanks to the CTLT Liaison team, CTLT’s Kevin Creamer and Fred Hagemeister, Academic Computing Lab group’s Mark Nichols, TLC’s Melissa Foster, UR’s Telecom and Multimedia Support Services, and Facilities interior designer Becky Brooks, we now have a renovated technology training room! With perimeter computer desks and seating, it opens up the room for more activities. Please stop by Boatwright Library’s 3rd floor and check room 322! We have lots of workshops scheduled this room.

Today we are rolling out a new web presence for the CTLT liaisons. We hope it better establishes who we are and what we do for the campus community. Under “What we do” you’ll find a feed of the latest news and activity here at the CTLT. You’ll also find “Project Showcase” that we hope inspires current and future faculty to bring even more innovative ideas into UofR’s classrooms. We also have have a list of services and resources under “What we do” that serves as a digital toolbox for many of the services and resources we support.
We are also very excited to roll out a new event management system. We hope the system provides easier to access to Workshop summaries so that you can browse and find Workshops that’ll help you. Login is with your netID and password.
Welcome to the new site!
