Over the summer we added three new faces to our amazing team. Stop by the library and meet them in person!

Michael Dickerson – Systems Administrator michael.dickerson@richmond.edu

Michael is a Richmond-area native, but has lived the last few years in Daytona Beach, Florida. Before moving to Florida, Michael worked at the technology help desk here at the Muse Law Library. He is returning to UR now to take the next step in his IT career. Michael has an interesting side gig — he hosts a radio show on WRIR 97.3FM as a DJ. Come talk to him about his vinyl collection (+1000 records) and his sneaker collection (+100 pair).

Eli Anderson – Technology Services Specialist eanderson@richmond.edu

Eli is originally from Baltimore and has lived in Richmond for the last four years. As the law school’s Technology Services Specialist, Eli maintains our classroom computers and provides tech support. He is also a lifelong musician. He plays the saxophone! He marched at Norfolk State, but now likes to play mostly R&B. He is also a competitive swimmer and loves to play MLB The Show (as the Orioles, of course).

Sylvia Yanes – Faculty Services Librarian syanes@richmond.edu

Sylvia is the Muse Law Library’s new Faculty Services Librarian. In this role, she supports faculty scholarship, teaches legal research, and provides research and reference assistance to the University of Richmond School of Law community. Before joining the University of Richmond, Sylvia interned at the Gallagher Law Library at the University of Washington. Sylvia worked as an in-house lawyer for MasTec, Inc., where she was involved in transactions related to telecommunications and energy infrastructure construction projects, commercial real estate, and mergers and acquisitions. She is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). To pass her time during the pandemic, Sylvia watched the entire filmographies of several famous directors — over 100 movies!
