PERSONAL CONTRIBUTIONS: LEADING TO GREATER IMPACT

Over the course of my internship I have completed and contributed to a wide array of projects. At a startup company, I am able to work directly with the COO, president and operations manager on sales projects, product development projects, and research projects. Most recently, I have been assigned a customer persona project for their app that will be released in the next year.

One of the first projects I was assigned was to research sales companies we would be having introductory calls with, and to do research on prospective sales clients. This was an exciting project for me as it required I not only provide basic research of the client, but I  understand the customers wants and needs and where we best would be able to help them. I did so by observing areas of their company that related with our overall mission and goal, and by observing weaker areas in the company I believed we could provide aid to. This project eventually led to a long term project I am currently researching and working on: streamlining Limitless Minds sales process. I enjoy observing how and why individuals get things done efficiently and how and why others may not be getting things done as efficiently. After these observations and some of my client research, I proposed an idea to my supervisors to break down the sales process and help streamline it with specific questions and topics that should be covered in each call. As Limitless Minds grows as a company and takes on more sales representatives, in order to have efficiency and consistency it is important to streamline this process. I am excited about working on this project and presenting it in my final weeks at the company and feel that my observations from sales calls and sales research have truly impacted the project I am currently working on.

In addition to the sales projects I have been working on, I recently finished up working with a team of women to develop a workbook that will coincide with our product. I contributed to this project by sitting in on meetings and providing feedback on how I believed individuals would best respond to certain activities in the workbook. I was able to use my own creativity to create and enhance a few of the activities as well.  This input will affect the efficiency and impact of the overall workbook product on our clients.
