My Abroad Trip

This was the first time in my life I was going to experience a different culture, a different language, a different currency, and a different lifestyle. My trip to Copenhagen and all of Europe was life changing and something I never thought I would have the opportunity to have. I got to experience how Europeans lived and acted in their everyday lives. The food, culture, and fashion were completely different than the States and it gave me an open mind into trying new things. Being alone in Europe for 4 months allowed me to explore different interests and be a different person. I got to become a global citizen by traveling to several different countries and experiencing several different cultures. It’s an experience not many 20 year olds get to have. Today, I am more knowledgable and global than ever before thanks to studying abroad.

Lets begin the journey!

When did you have time do some studying when you were abroad?? It seems like you were running around Europe the whole time! It’s awesome to see that you got to experience so much of the world in so little time. It would’ve been even better if you had included some of the terminology and and concepts that we discussed in class. Overall your storymap was very entertaining and had a nice narrative to it. Thank you for sharing your trip with us!

I loved seeing all the different places you went while abroad. I think you did a great job describing the landscapes and cultures of each city through the architecture and nightlife. You’ve inspired me to go to some of these places because they look awesome.

First of all, your introduction slide about Copenhagen just made me happy by reading through it and getting to look at those wonderful photos, I mean look at all those colors! All of your pictures are so vibrant and your descriptions truly give insight to your readers about the architecture and style of each city. Very nice descriptions of each city and your experiences there, a job well done!

Having visited Copenhagen, I totally agree that it is an amazing place (just expensive). I loved comparing the places you have visited to those I have experience with, and also seeing a few locations that I would like to visit in the future (particularly Stockholm). I always find it interesting where people gravitate to in their travels. The more I have travelled, the more I realize that I want to travel more. You are very lucky that you were able to spend such a long period of time across the Atlantic, but also that you were able to make so many trips in your free time.
