Lunette is a brand of menstrual cups that is Finish owned, manufactured, and produced. Their mission is “to have honest and inspiring conversation about menstruation so that we can motivate period positivity and change the world one cup at a time.” They aim to change the culture surrounding menstruation, tackle the everyday violence facing women and girls especially surrounding their sexual and reproductive health and rights, and to disrupt the traditional period product market by promoting a reusable, long-lasting, environmentally conscious product. I chose than analyze Lunette’s business practices and production process through the lenses of globalization, violence against women, and pragmatic solidarity.
