Emily Routman’s Story Map
For my project, I decided to study the production and consumption of a very famous American icon, the Barbie Doll. I looked at her production and consumption through the lenses of globalization as well as external costs. Although Barbie is seen to be an ‘All-American’ girl, she is produced throughout the world. And in Barbie’s production as well as consumption, there are hidden externalities that may change how people see Barbie.
