Mollie Moroney’s Consumption Project
Edun is an American fashion company that specializes in women’s ready-to-wear apparel. It is most notable for championing production practices in Africa, looking to build relationships with factories there. Its marketing strategy focuses on such practices, but the brand has faced controversy concerning their concealment of factories in China and Italy. From production to consumption, Edun operates on a philosophy that gets lost in translation when the economic stresses of the fashion industry take hold.
