Etch-A-Sketch: The “All-American” Toy

The Etch-A-Sketch has been a staple of American households since the mid 20th century. Since the innovations in technology though, it has lost some of the magic which made it so appealing to consumers during the 1900’s. The product, like so many other American goods has been globalized for the purpose of sales and profit. In my consumption storymap, I looked how the production of the Etch-A-Sketch isn’t all that American anymore and whether or not it can continue to survive in an age where simple toys aren’t enough for kids.
