Ellie’s StoryMap: Studying Global Connections

As a freshman at the University of Richmond, I am planning on majoring in International Studies. This map traces the people and places that sparked my interest in this subject. My hope is that viewers will gain a sense of why I am passionate about these topics, and how specific places and experiences can shape us into global citizens. For me, global citizenship is a passion to understand the connections humans form globally, and to use this understanding to hopefully help people who are negatively impacted by these connections or lack thereof. In this StoryMap, I explore how my birth place, my exchange, and an internship have encouraged me to become a global citizen and study these important connections.
