I would like to highlight the effects of globalization in Morocco’s argan oil business. Remarketing this oil indigenous to the arid climate of Morocco on a popular global sale has had both positive and negative implications in areas of production. For the most part, it has empowered women, but corporate avarice has simultaneously broken down positive cultural norms and hastened environmental concerns.
