Suburban Landscape on 3 Continents
All three places that I have chosen have some significance to my personal life and family background, and I have spent a great deal of time in each place. In each place, my family lives in an area that is not part of the dominant landscape (i.e. “the city” or the closest cultural epicenter in the region). I have found that in each place I chose, life is often largely defined by proximity to a larger urban area or cultural center.
