INEMA and Beyond…

Today was our last day with our new INEMA friends, and I’m sad to say goodbye to the students that I grew close with.  I really enjoyed learning about their backgrounds and their values.  As a United States native, I am not privy to the experiences of others growing up around the world and it was fascinating to see us all come together for discussions.  What I noticed is that a lot of our foreign neighbors are very passionate about their education, and the future of their countries.  I’ve never been about of a group that is more determined to help the world.  It was also interesting to see the cultural differences come out in discussions and opinion sharing.  It was very apparent which cultures respected other’s opinions and which didn’t based off of gender or color and that insight will help me with employee relation issues as part of an HR department.  I look forward to staying in touch with our new friends and continuing to learn and grow from our experience with them.
