Week 6: Reminders

Hello, Scholars!

I hope you had a good weekend. I am writing with a few reminders for the week.

First, if you haven’t already, please make sure you upload Short Writing Assignment 4 to Blackboard by noon today (Monday). Remember: this is a 4-5 sentence description of the article (link on Blackboard with the assignment), plus at least one (1) question relating to completing the assignment. Think: did you have any difficulties or questions as you were describing the article? What were they?

For tomorrow’s class, make sure you’ve read Michelle Caswell’s “Inventing New Archival Imaginaries: Theoretical Foundations for Identity-Based Community Archives” and watched Walidah Imarisha’s “The Liberated Archive Morning Keynote.” It is about 36 minutes.

For Thursday, in addition to completing the assigned inventory (Short Writing Assignment 3), please make sure you’ve read Book 1 of John Lewis’ March.
