You will notice a new look when you log into Blackboard! There is a new screen that will come up for you only once and looks like the image below.
If you click on the down arrow, you will be presented with a new Global Navigation pane that will allow you to interact with Blackboard in a new way.
The top icon will take you to a new Blackboard home page where you can quickly see what needs your attention within Blackboard.
Next are all the unread posts from ALL of you Blackboard course. You can reply from here or enter the course to reply.
Next are updates from your courses. This can be grades, announcements, tests, or content.
Finally, you will see the new Blackboard calendar. This is a vast improvement and will contain all calendar items from ALL of your courses (where an instructor is using calendaring options) such as tests, assignments, discussions, to-do tasks, etc. You have the ability to place personal items on the calendar as well. If you are using another calendar application, you can send this Blackboard calendar to any application using iCal. We will discuss this in a future posts.
