Activities

Review and provide feedback, add comments, and otherwise update the AI-augmented technology collection introduction for the Fabric of Digital Life in this Google Doc. You should see that your contributions have been incorporated into a draft collection introduction that you’ll provide feedback on.

Check any feedback posted to your artifact row in the Curated Collection Metadata Planning Sheet. Revise as directed or needed.

Complete the online course evaluation for this class when available. The easiest way to access the evaluation form is using the link you receive via email or by selecting the “MyCoursEval” sidebar link in our Blackboard course. I’ll combine your evaluation feedback with your tickets out and my own reflections on the course to improve future versions. Your honest feedback helps me improve the course for future students.

If you have additional feedback about the course you’d like to share, use this Google Form to submit it. Your feedback can remain anonymous.

Responses

Write a 150-200 word response to either the Sullivan & Porter or Allen article as a comment on the text page. In your response, address this question: Should UR and/or SPCS have a technical communication program? What leads you to this response?

Write a 150-200 word response to either the Clinkenbeard or Walsh, et al. article as a comment on the text page. In your response, address this question: In the ATS collection we’re proposing for the Fabric of Digital Life archive, where does agency reside in curating the collection? Did we as curators have full agency, or do we share agency with metadata categories and archival collection infrastructure? Explain your answer.

Compose an original blog post of about 500 words that reflects on what you’ve encountered and learned during this course. Feel free to range widely in your response, but focus on whether you achieved the course outcomes you expected and as advertised in the course description and course materials. What aspects of the course challenged you? What aspects of the course resonated with you? How did the course content and assignments integrate or intersect with your professional experiences and contexts? Include the category “Reflection” and several relevant tags.

Reaction: Read everyone else’s responses and posts. Reply in a threaded comment to at least one response or introduction. Your reactions are due by midnight on Friday, June 16.
