Dr. Maruti Mishra
Dr. Maruti V. Mishra is a Trawick Postdoctoral fellow working with Dr. Bukach. She obtained her PhD in Cognitive Science at the Center for Behavioral and Cognitive Science (CBCS), University of Allahabad, India. Her thesis focused on using Psychophysical and electrophysiological (ERP) approaches to study the effect of visual attention on facial emotion perception. She completed her Undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and Masters in Life Sciences with specialization in Neurobiology, both in India. She came to USA as a Postdoctoral fellow to pursue her research interests in understanding the mechanisms of face recognition impairment in Prosopagnosia (Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA) and then combining EEG and eye-tracking to study the role of micro eye movements- ‘microsaccades’ in visual perception (University of Rochester, NY). As a Trawick Postdoc fellow in the lab she is enthusiastic about the semester course that she is giving on ‘Animal Minds’-Psy299.
