Sophie Hardten is a member of the class of 2022, pursuing a double major in psychology and health studies with a minor in Chinese studies. Her research investigates the Other Race Effect using an attentional blink paradigm. Directly after graduation, she plans to engage in a gap-year fellowship working to reduce health disparities. Down the road, she aspires to work in the field of mental health, earning a doctorate in psychiatric advanced nursing practice. Sophie’s hometown is in Minneapolis, MN, but she would like to experience living on the West coast or abroad once she graduates. Outside of the lab, she loves to take walks by the river, try new recipes, and listen to oldies.
