“The Intersection of Translational Science and Psychiatric Genetics”
Jessica L. Bourdon was a guest speaker for the University of Richmond’s Department of Psychology Brown Bag series. Jessica was a former University of Richmond student majoring in Psychology. While a student at UR, she worked in the Beyond Categories lab as a researcher and a lab manager. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her talk provided an overview of translational science and psychiatric genetics, and the projects she has worked on since joining the program, and offered advice to students also pursuing a Ph.D.
