Introduction to Joe Walsh

“Life’s Been Good”, a song created and performed by Joe Walsh in 1978 is a humorous firsthand insight into the ridiculous and dangerous lifestyle that Walsh and his bandmates survived. The song also serves as a representation of the attitude, behaviors, and overall debauchery that rock stars during the 70s were known for. The song is the a musical reflection of Walsh’s personality, lifestyle, and musical flare. A free-spirited guitar player who was unafraid to integrate diverse sounds and styles into a singular song. Walsh is a prime example of an extremely popular musician who became a focal point in Arena Rock despite a hard partying lifestyle and battles with substance abuse.
