Eazy-E — Born Eric Wright on September 7th, 1963 in Compton, California, Eric grew up completely different to his later colleagues. He dropped out of high school and began selling drugs. Jerry Heller claimed that Eazy-E’s drug life built an armor that forged his character he became to be. His drug-dealing days helped him co-found a label, Ruthless Records. His career with NWA earned him the nickname “GodFather of Gangsta Rap.” Eric Wright is the only member of NWA who is currently dead. Wright died of HIV/AIDs March 26th, 1995.
