The Local Government Attorneys of Virginia (“LGA”), a statewide organization consisting of attorneys who represent the interests of local governments or local government entities across the Commonwealth of Virginia, is pleased to extend a scholarship opportunity to law students for attendance at the LGA’s upcoming Spring Conference in Virginia Beach on April 14-16, 2016.
The scholarship covers the expense of participation in the continuing legal education portions of the conference and social networking activities on Thursday and Friday evenings. Lodging is also available for certain scholarship recipients.
Conference attendance provides law students with the chance to interact with both in-house local government practitioners and attorneys who work in firms that provide representation to the various jurisdictions in Virginia. The CLE programs address a diverse range of topics including drones, new legislation, cybersecurity, tax, transgender issues, public policy mediation, insurance, environmental law, and public procurement.
