In the last CDO newsletter, I discussed how and why the CDO recruitment program for law firms will be different this year. See Spring OCI Roundup – Part 1 | Richmond Law Career Development Office. This column will offer details that we have learned through our employer outreach efforts about employers registered for Week Two of Virtual Spring Recruitment Program (VSRP), including their summer program size and anticipated hiring needs.

Note this list includes those interviewing during Week Two, with an application deadline of 11:45 pm on Sunday, January 24. Go to the OCI tab in Symplicity to review firm postings and submit applications.

MichieHamlett (Virtual Interviews on Feb. 1)

MichieHamlett is interviewing current 3Ls who will take the Virginia Bar exam in July and could start in the firm’s Charlottesville office in August or September. The firm’s tort practice consists generally of motor vehicle crash cases, medical malpractice cases, product defect/liability cases, and mass tort cases.

MichieHamlett is looking for industrious, resourceful, creative thinkers with good research and writing skills. A good GPA and moot court or law review experience are pluses. Moving to Charlottesville would be required. Click here for more information about the firm.
