Here are some highlights of what we heard:
- Take a job that leads in the direction of where you want to go. Your first job may not be the perfect dream job you are looking for (these often require more experience than you will have). Get started! Avenues will open up once you are out practicing.
- Keep in touch with contacts you had prior to law school, as well as non-attorney contacts. You never know when someone might be able to help you make a connection.
- Be open to learning new things. Go into practice willing to learn.
