An announcement from the Academic Skills Center:
Remote peer-tutoring will be available beginning March 23, 2020.
These tutoring sessions will be held virtually as on-call appointments in 50-minute sessions and can be made by emailing the tutor with whom you would like to work from your UR email address. To ensure all students are able to receive the assistance they need, we are limiting students to one tutoring session per day for each subject with the same tutor. Students may have multiple appointments on the same day, but not for the same subject, with the same tutor.
The peer-tutors available for these appointments are listed in the Box file: On-Call Online Tutors. To make an appointment, you must email the tutor from your UR email address and set up a time and platform for your tutoring session to take place. If you would like to make yourself familiar with the platforms we suggest, please visit the links below:
During this crisis, both Hope Walton and Roger Mancastroppa will remain available for appointments in Academic and Life Skills (study skills, stress management, time management, critical reading/thinking, etc.). Please email them with available times to request a Zoom conference.
For questions or concerns please contact Marie Boylan or Laura Fitrer. We will be happy to help you navigate this new process.
