It is estimated that more than 5 trillion photos will be shared over the Internet in 2018. As communication with images becomes more ubiquitous in society, the ability to deconstruct how our brain processes images become more relevant. By knowing more about the workings of the brain in general and of the visual brain in particular, one can attempt to develop the outlines of a theory of aesthetics that is biologically based. This course blog highlights the efforts of our students in investigating the core concepts of visual neuroscience and photography.
