The ScholarlyTeacher.com is a site that features articles focused on evidence-based strategies that enrich student learning. The site typically takes a summer break, and it is now back with a new article from Todd Zakrajsek (UNC Chapel-Hill). Todd is well-published on topics related to higher education pedagogy and I had the pleasure if hearing him speak about effective lecturing (yes, you heard right!) at the Virginia Tech Pedagogy Conference in February 2018.

In this new article, he offers up some sage advice on managing the first four weeks of class by extending efforts often only focused on the first day.
