Looking to meet other students who share your interests without the pressure of joining a formal club? We’ve got you covered.

This year, the Law Library is launching Hobby Match Meet-Ups—casual, opt-in groups that connect students based on shared hobbies and activities. Whether you’re into hiking, board games, reading, baking, or even tabletop RPGs, there’s a hobby circle for you.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to the survey linked here and sign up for the hobbies or activities that interest you.
  2. We’ll connect you via email with other law students who chose the same interests.
  3. You take it from there! Whether you start a group chat, organize a meetup, or just share recommendations, the circle is yours to shape.

These are not official clubs. They are simply a low-key way to meet your peers and make new friends with similar interests. There are no meetings to attend and no leadership roles to take on. Just shared interests and student-driven connection.

The available meet-ups include:

  • Hiking & Outdoors
  • Potluck/Cooking/Baking
  • Explore RVA
  • Board Games & Tabletop RPGs
  • Book Club
  • Cinephiles (Film Fans)
  • Crafting & Fiber Arts
  • Pet Owners

Sign-ups are open now. Just choose the hobbies that speak to you, and we’ll help you find your people.

Connection emails will go out after the first week of classes. Sign Up Here.
